Further expansion of the offer of Burgo papers with the EU Ecolabel (EC Regulation n.66/2010), the European Union’s ecological quality label, considered a certificate of excellence that certifies and guarantees compliance with ecological criteria and a reduced environmental impact throughout the product’s life cycle.
In summary, the news for each of the three companies involved:
The Burgo Group certificate, after the Duino paper mill, now also includes the Villorba paper mill, which produces MWC papers of the UNO range (previously made at the Verzuolo plant) and the natural wood-free papers produced at the Tolmezzo plant, in addition to the customized denominations of the Office Papers distributed by Burgo Distribuzione.
The Burgo Ardennes certificate has been renewed with the inclusion of the commercial denominations of the main distributors.
The Mosaico certificate now includes the papers of the PRISMA and TEMPTATION range produced in the Lugo paper mill.
Ecolabel is a voluntary scheme that demonstrates Burgo Group’s constant commitment to improving environmental performance and maintaining it over time, all in compliance with the ecological parameters defined at the European level.
The ‘flower’ that distinguishes the Ecolabel logo represents for the consumer a guarantee provided by the EU for the ecological and application characteristics of the products. This goes beyond the manufacturer’s brand, allowing you to clearly identify the products that combine quality and respect for the environment, minimizing the negative environmental impact throughout the product’s life cycle. The EU Ecolabel certified papers require less energy in the production phase, are easily recyclable, and consume less natural resources.
